Fun Friday

Today...time spent during the working hours was fun, not because it was pay day a few days ago but me and my also movie addict bestie always have a movie day each week especially on Friday...and yes since we both adores Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, we went to watch 'Tooth Fairy' (click on the website here to know more)

Enjoyed it SO MUCH - cos it's damn funny and I got a bit emotional as well, 'The Rock' could surely act well...no matter action or comedy, he's really good actor and of course SO hunky-licious and charmingly good looking! Check out the trailer:

This weekend...will be looking forward to watch some movies at home like...

1) Lovely Bones

2) Hua Mulan (Cantonese)

Now can't wait to watch Johnny Depp's upcoming movie - Alice in Wonderland (in March) Just love those kind of fantastical movies especially if it's directed by Tim Burton.

Well besides the so called movie of the year - Avatar, I also recommend you watch this two movies...

1) Like Stars on Earth/Taare Zameen Par (Bollywood movie - but not really the typical one, a family type movie but it's worth watching)

2) Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus (last movie role of the late Heath Ledger)

There goes my weekend...movies at home but will try to do other fun things too if laziness doesnt rule me. Happy weekend people - hope it will rain so I could have a good and cooling afternoon nap (ha!)

Parenting Resolutions for 2010

I wanted to post this up earlier in the new year...oh well here goes some Parenting Resolutions for those parents and new parents to-be..not only for this year but it's good to continue applying them for the rest of your parenting days/years with your growing children. I've shared about this on FB last December.

1. Not yell so much;

2. Stop using threats to keep your kindergartner or grade-schooler in line;

3. Be more loving - and find other ways to help your 5-year-old or 6 - 8-year-old feel good about himself/herself;

4. Slow down and really listen to your child;

5. Give each of your children the one-on-one time he deserves;

6. Find more family time;

7. Plan fun outings more often;

8. Read more with your child - whether he's a beginner, intermediate, or advanced reader;

9. Watch less TV;

10. Make healthier meals;

11. Encourage your child's relationship with grandparents;

12. Share your beliefs with your child and - if religion or spirituality is important to your family - make them part of your family life, traditions, and rituals; and

13. Nurture yourself so that you can better nurture your child.

Nah...sekadar gambar hiasan sahaja ya...good parenting role models I suppose - Brangelina and their broods and the late Anna Nicole Smith cute daughter with her daddy.

Opposite Attracts

Aya...I don't know if I'll have more time blogging this year...am trying to be productive at work this year (duh..konon) and my mood to blog is not there (not stimulated) just yet..so I created a new post label called 'Saja-Saja Post' just in case I don't have anything much or interesting post to put up - ha!

I will also try to jazz up my personal life this year...mmm..besides having a new baby in May, I will TRY to lose those baby fat after giving birth - be slim again, I want to do more arts as in painting & other creative projects, memorize at least 5 - 10 songs as in singing while playing the piano, start working on my online business, learn to dance well, play the drum, write a short children story (need an editor and illustrator please), be a member of the Sabah Society, etc...well those kind of stuffs. These are not my resolutions but just plans/goals to do this year...so it won't be a boring year.

Anyways, since I don't have much to say for now...I found some pics I took a few months ago of my neighbour's dog and cat - opposite attracts but they seems to be BFF. How nice and sweet if all dogs and cats can be friends like them huh?

Hey 2010!

I hope it's still not too late to wish Mama Rock readers A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!

Finally trying to blog again...been neglecting this space since the new year started. Usually very busy with work at the beginning of the year.

Some lil updates about me...

1) Busy organizing our Chamber's Members New-Year Get Together & Networking Hi-Tea @ Hyatt's Poolside this coming Thursday, 21 Jan;

2) Having water retention on my hands (due to pregnancy I guess) - irritably painful at times - I read eating more bananas can help (ha!) and got to minimise my salt intake (gosh! I just ate KFC's Zinger Tower burger for lunch today);

3) I'm about 5 months plus pregnant now and I can feel my baby's VERY ACTIVE movements - I still don't know if the baby has a tonto*** or tonsi*** (that's what we call the male & female's private parts in 'Dusun' - sorry can't mention in full haha!) So I'm looking forward to do 3D scan at the end of this month; and

4) I'm still looking forward to enroll my myself in taking drum lessons - my long awaited plans.

There's lots of pretty plans for me this 2010...and I'll try my very best to have fun achieving them.

More from Mama Rock later...

At the meantime...enjoy my fav Rain's September 12 vid here..sweet & lovely song!
