Finding for the tastiest 'Nasi Lemak'

I've yet to find the best and tastiest nasi lemak. It's one of my fav food! Now I'm pregnant at 7 months, my cravings for nasi lemak is even greater. So far I think the nasi lemak at Restoran Sri Sempelang @ Jalan Sinsuran is one of the tastiest and I missed eating the RM1.50 nasi lemak from Tea Time Cafe' (formerly based at Centre Point Sabah Shopping Mall last year - don't know if they either moved to other mall or closed down) cos they cooked the anchovies with honey and the sambal is so good (I think I blogged about it before).

My sister and I tried out the nasi lemak at 'Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa Kampung Baru' located at Suria Sabah's basement twice, the previous week and last Monday. For me, the taste was just okay...but Debbie liked it so much. So whenever I go to a new eating place, I will at least try out their nasi lemak (if they serve any) and if it's good I'll come back there for sure. Another pregnancy craving and also my fav food is the curry laksa - the best ones I tasted & loved is at Restoran Yun Fung, Palm Cafe at Centrepoint Sabah, and a restaurant at Jalan Sinsuran and Hilltop, Luyang(sorry forgot the name).

My all time fav 'kuih' - cekodok pisang and one of my fav drink - 'horlicks ping' (been drinking alot of this since I got pregnant)

Hey...if any of you know where I can find the tastiest again among the tastiest nasi lemak, please let me know ya!

I bought a book called 'This Is Not A Book' / Random Book Excerpt #2

I know that book has got a strange title. I've always wanted to buy a Keri Smith (read more about her in her Wish Jar Journal, my daily inspiration) book but never found it at any local bookstore here before or tried purchasing online. I was really suprised to see Keri's 'This Is Not A Book' at Times Bookstore. I didn't buy instantly but finally made my mind to grab a copy the week after. That book is really out of the ordinary - it's more like an activity book (peculiar stuffs/think creative/you have to be someone imaginative/do something you don't do everyday & etc).

Front cover:

Back cover (guess buying online is much cheaper-damn):

Note to the reader/user (Keri even wrote that this book is an inconvenience because her instruction goes: Take 'THIS IS NOT A BOOK' everywhere you go for 1 week. You must place it in full view at all times.)

More info about this book (oops, I forgot this is not a book), check here (taken from Keri's blog).

So if you wanna join me do crazy stuffs from this book - let me know! It would be fun:)

Fun family Get-Together at the 'Kampung' home (14-15 Feb 2010)

I was too busy to post this up last Feb. My dad came back from Penang for the CNY holidays and we siblings decided to celebrate his belated 60th birthday on 14 Feb 2010 (1st day of CNY & V-day) at our village home in Kg. Rani, Tenghilan (where our real home sweet home is). Each of us siblings contributed what food/drinks to buy/prepare/cook. It was really fun - of course besides taking photos together, the best part is when it comes to eating time. We had cakes, steamboat, ice-creams & etc. The next day we family did a short trekking through the jungle to a mini waterfall at Dondomon River.

These photos tells.....

Lovely shots by Jerry Kennedy (Debbie's fiancee) - love it!

And photos from my digicam....

My little nephew...Chrissie's Arwen

Carmen and Delbert playing the old antique organ at our grandparents old & abandoned house

The next day...

Early morning mist and the beautiful view of Mt. Kinabalu in front of our kampung lawn

It's Carmen's 1st jungle trekking and she enjoyed it (good exposure)

Pregnant and still able to do jungle trekking...lucky I didn't slip crossing the little rocky brook. Really missed those old adventuring days.

Carmen with her aunty Debbie

Swimming at the river...the water was icy cold...Carmen was shivering but she didn't want to get out of the water.

Looking forward to more family together-ness like these this year:)

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland Movie Premiere in KK

It's been a while since I last blogged huh? Same story again..been busy as a bee. Just need to rush some work in advance before I go on leave + maternity leave by end of April. I'm having a slight jittery feeling about my 2nd pregnancy - not sure if I can go through normal birth or opt for c-sect delivery (again). I'll blah-blah more about this later.

Anyways, the movie that I've been SO lookin forward to...yes...1st day screening on cinema today 11 March, told my boss earlier I'm watching Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland today (she said sure...go ahead - love her!)

I just love fantastical/imaginative (and weird) movies like these...especially if it involves Johnny Depp and Tim Burton and it's their 7th films together. I read 'when you take those two, they always seem to make something really out of the ordinary' - literally magical!

Sorry no time to put up the movie's synopsis and trailer here. But my fav character in the movie - the 'Mad Hatter' (Johnny Depp):

Loved these pretty & colorful theatrical movie posters:

My two fav movie guys - the 'unique actor' Johnny Depp and the 'wacky but genius movie director' Tim Burton - absolute creative people!

If you haven't watch this movie...you should - its great!
