I'm always a huge supporter of local artiste or even local artiste who made it through the international music scene. One of our local talent who made it BIG is Mia Palencia. She's multi talented Sabahan! I've always been a fan of her voice. Here's her latest music video 'The Revolutionary Hum' - totally LOVE it!
By the way....my pay is in (thanks boss for the early pay cheque) and I'm gonna treat me-self something nice again, and then buy some movie dvds and music cds (that's one of my weakness - can't stop buying them/in other words my 'major addictions') to watch/listen during the coming long weekend - let's have a happy Tuesday shall we?
Love + Arts + Music + Motherhood + Young At Heart = MY LIFE and still learning to rock.....

Listening to.....Najwa

Hi again! I wanted to blog about her 'Najwa' and her cool debut album 'Innocent Soul' since last May but was too busy at that time ...so right now I'm just sharing. The moment I heard her sing and her kind of music genre 'neo-soul' (combination of jazz, funk, hip-hop and pop), I didn't think twice but bought her album on the spot at the record store. I love her voice and her songs which she penned most of the 10 English tracks on this album. Another cool fact is that she's the daughter of our Malaysia's current Deputy Prime Minister.
Here's one of Najwa's music video....her music were in my playlist for more than a month:) If you appreciate her kind of music - enjoy then!

Personal Tribute to Yasmin Ahmad (1958 - 2009)

Just a month after MJ's passing, there's another shocking news of the sudden demise of Malaysia's renowned filmaker - Yasmin Ahmad. She died of stroke and she's only 51. 20 years ago, my dad's father/my grandfather died of stroke and I know how it feels to lose a loved one in just a sudden and so unexpected. For more details prior to her death, read here. Although I've only watched two of her award-winning films 'Sepet' and 'Gubra' but I've always admires her creativity and talents and that I often follows and read her blog for inspiration. She will always be a legend in all Malaysian hearts because of her superb works and there will be no one as great as her. Rest in peace Yasmin Ahmad!
