I'm a huge admirers for child prodigies or genius kids in the arts and music world. One kid in particular is Elli Choi, now 7 years old violin virtuoso. U can laugh at me...that I just knew about her not until recently (how pity is that).
I wish my kids - Carmen & Chardon to be talented! I know it's all up to me & their daddy to nurture and encourage them to be talented and special in their own ways:)
Love + Arts + Music + Motherhood + Young At Heart = MY LIFE and still learning to rock.....

This music & voices rings beautifully in my ears....
This anthem was specially commisioned for the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine "Kate" Middleton by the Dean and Chapter of Westminster Abbey on 29 April 2011 and was composed by John Rutter.
This is the day the Lord has made
By John Rutter
This is the day, the day which the Lord has made
We will rejoice and be glad in it
This is the day, the day which the Lord has made
We will rejoice and be glad in it
This is the day
O praise the Lord of Heaven
Praise him in the highest,
Praise him all ye angels of his
Praise him all ye souls
Praise him sun and moon
Praise him all ye stars of light
Let them praise the name of the Lord
For he shall give his angels charge over thee
To keep thee in all thy ways
To keep thee in all thy ways
To keep thee in all thy ways
The Lord himself is my keeper
The Lord is my defense upon my right hand
So that the sun shall not hurt thee by day
Neither the moon by night
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil
Yeah, it is even he that shall keep thy soul
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in
From this I know
From this I know
From this I know forever more
He shall defend thee
He shall defend thee
He shall defend thee under his wings
He shall defend thee
He shall defend thee
He shall defend thee under his wings
Be strong
And He shall comfort thine heart
Shall comfort thine heart
And who shall I trust?
I trust in the Lord
Whose power I trust in, the Lord,
In the Lord
The words consist of verses from Psalms 118:24; 148:1-3, 5a; 91:4a, 11; 121:5-8 and 27:16b.
This is one of the most beautiful music pieces I've ever heard - don't you agree?! Anyways, happy weekend people and enjoy it with a blast!

Little guitarists
This performance is simply unbelievable and amazing! It looks like some sort of camera trick but I think this little kids are for real. I love the way they moved to the music with big smiles on their faces - so cute that I want to pinch the little girl in the middle. Oh, I just can't get enough of them when I saw this video being circulated widely on FB that I've got to post them up here too. Damn - they are SO GOOD! Watching them helps me to de-stress and really brightens up my day - period! I haven't shown this video to Carmen and Chardon yet but I will shortly and I'm sure they will also be in awe. Just something to inspire these two - they might want to learn to play the guitar too (just wait till they are lil older and ready for guitar lessons hehe).

Come and Experience the US 7th Fleet Band Performances in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Hi there people! I'm promoting this event to everyone who happens to live in Kota Kinabalu (KK), Sabah, who works or happens to be in KK or simply could travel to KK around 28 February to 1 March. My company (there's only my boss and I) are coordinating the US 7th Fleet Band Performances to be held in KK again this year and as requested by the American Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. It's fun that we work closely with them.
Their schedule of performances in KK are like:
28 February 2011 (Mon) @ 7pm - 8pm at the Ground Floor, Centre Point Sabah Shopping Complex
1 March 2011 (Tues) @ 9am - 10am at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah; @ 12noon - 1pm at the Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School & @ 8pm - 9pm at the Perdana Park, Tanjung Aru.
They have two teams of bands - Far East Edition (plays more contemporary music, Jazz, or big band style) and Ceremonial Band. And they are already like 68 years old band (created in 1943) and they are based in Yokosuka, Japan.

Boss and I will be checking the venue at Perdana Park this afternoon. We have invited a few VIPs like the Minister of Tourism, the Japanese Consul General because the band is based in Yokosuka, Japan, the new KK City Mayor, etc to come and see their last performance at this park on 1 March.
Check out their band (Far East Edition team) performing last year in Gaya Street, KK here. Video courtesy from www.budakhutan.com (thanks Budak Hutan).
If you love music band, I'm sure you'll enjoy them - So go check them out and experience their performance! Click on US 7th Fleet Band for more info.
And oh ya...happy weekend to ya'all!
