Viva Espana - Spain won their 1st World Cup!

The Octopus is damn right again - Spain won their 1st World Cup...finally! I SO LIKE! Since I was busy nursing & feeding my baby son, Chardon early in the morning and too sleepy after that, I only managed to watch the last and best part when Andres Iniesta scored their 1st goal and I kinda get emotional watching Iker Casillas cried - he's the best goalkeeper in the world. I'm so happy for Spain! Most of their players are cute too - ha! (wink2 to Fernando Torres;)

Netherlands & Spain in the World Cup 2010 Final!

First time in history that Netherlands and Spain finally get to be in the World Cup final. Either one of them will win the cup for the 1st time. I want Spain to win - Go Spain!

World Cup 2010 Fever

Interesting...that my 1st and 2nd time after giving birth to Carmen in May 2006 and then Chardon this year in April..that the World Cup fever starts again. But pity me...I'm too tired to watch the whole game. Since it's not on European ground, I hope my fav team - Brazil will win this time. But I favour Spain too. I used to idolize Spain's & Real Madrid former striker - Raul Gonzalez...and in fact I even thought of naming my baby son's 2nd name as Raul but too bad my husby objected (ha!)



By the way...I just love that this time round, Shakira does the official 2010 FIFA World Cup song - The Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) and the video is so cool and I loved her hair accessories...so African! Will go buy the official album soon.

So wanna get sexy....let's move our hips and do the Waka Waka:)

Yay to Federer! He finally did it!

Roger Federer finally won his very 1st French Open Title...although I'm a lil bit dissapointed last night's men's final, another fav sportsman of mine, Rafael Nadal (who's the current king of Paris clay court) was not in the picture to play against R. Federer or else it could be another tough long hours match. Too bad for Nadal that he's injured this time round with knee injury. Federer easily outplayed Swede Robin Soderling (who beat Nadal in the 4th round)in less than 2 hrs. It's cute to see Federer in emotional moments again after he won.



Congrats to RF again for:
1) Clinching his 1st French Open Title;
2) Now equalled / tied with American Pete Sampras to have a record of 14 Grand Slams titles; and
3) Became the 6th player to win all 4 Grand Slam tournaments.


A lunatic fan / on-court intruder who stunned and shaken RF...I think he put a towel on RF's head...it was funny. Lucky that he didn't posed a threat but it distracted RF..phew. That's what some people would do to become famous but that guy sure is will enjoy his time in jail for nothing.

And again I love Nadal's pink Nike outfit at the French Open (sorry not very cute pics of him but I heart the pinky thing)

The most emotional moments in sports

Two nights ago, I watched my two fav sportsmen - Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer (gosh..they're so goodlooking!) faced each other again, this time at the Australian Open Tennis Championship 2009 Men Finals which lasted more than 5 hrs. Nadal won...no doubt that he's stronger and I just love his Nike's outfit. But the best part is, watching Federer sobbed real hard and it was hard not to cry with him too...I think this is one of the most emotional scene in sports and it's amazing to see the sight of one great champion comforting another great champion. I just heart them both!

Go Nadal!

Watched the two greatest tennis male players and my fav sportsmen Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the 2008 Wimbledon Championships final last night. I barely finished watching it cos the match lasted like 4-hour & 48 minutes which was said to be the longest men's final in Wimbledon history and quite possibly the greatest. I knew Nadal would pull it through and truly he did....and that's him (photo above) celebrates with victory after beating the no. 1-ranked Federer (6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7) Yeah...go Nadal! Aint he cute or what....i drools looking at his muscles....akaka...naughty mama!
