Heavy Breakfast & No Lunch Today

I swear..I will not have my lunch today cos I had mee goreng and a bungkus of nasi lemak and then a cuppa of Boh Teh 3 in 1 (sudah pun 3 in 1, added that 1 tiny packet of Coffee Mate lagi..atukoi:O) for breakfast today and now am so damn full. Oh mama..what happen to you being so gudoot (greedy) today? I am doing it again..eat, eat and eat and then eat again. No..I am not preg..of course not! But I guess it's the sign of PMSing soon that I easily have cravings for food. Yesterday, I craved for Sushi and I had Sushi...and lucky there's a Japanese Restaurant downstairs and I spent like RM16.10 for these...well for once in a blue moon only lah and I have to sayang my moolah ($)!

I have to and need to watch out on my diet now..I don't want to turn into a.....you know what I mean. Thinking to buy that Hip Hop Dance Aerobic VCD for the weekend...mmmm?! Or I just sip on that Green Tea (recommended by my sis) to detoxify my body.

Since its already pay day, will be going out with my Sis to Warisan Square again during lunch time today and she said she doesn't wanna have lunch..oh that's very fine! Let's go shopping now....

Oh ya I just realize today, me being quite a computer iliterate sometimes...hahaha (ok stopy laughing now) all these time when I do postings on my blog using the Mac, I can't figure out how to insert link, blockquote, italic tags and etc on Mac cos again on Mac it doesn't show those insert thingy bars except for Add Image..really bah and right now while doing this post using Windows..wow..like so sakai this..those insert bars are there..all this time actually but I just don't see it on Mac..Budukang you Mac or is it me yang budu cos I am quite uncivilised in IT kinda stuff..I admit!

Interesting Tuesday

Yesterday was a pink Monday for me because I wore a so pink baju kurung Kedah to work...feels abit uncomfortable cos I look fatter in pink..oh my gosh..don't know if I'll ever wear that dress again. I better find some darker cloth materials and make some more baju kurung Kedahs..perhaps those that doesn't need ironing and would easily hide my size** body.

Okay enough fretting about yesterday. Today is quite an interesting day, somehow I am feeling very the good mood to...

I had lunch with my sister, Debbie at fish & co restaurant at Warisan Square, I had New York fish & chips which was quite a big portion and Debbie had Peri Peri Catch...something like ala-ala baba nyonya style of cooking. I actually do not fancy seafood...am not very good in eating fish..I always end up having a fish bone stuck in my throat but I love eating prawns tho. I can't even finish my plate...the taste was okay which has some parmesan cheese stuff in the fish but Deb did not enjoy hers. The waiters was quite attentive with a pleasant attitude and kept asking us 'how's the food' and we fikir-fikir first what the exact words to say and end up telling them 'okay lah'.
New York Fish & Chips @ RM16.90
Peri Peri Catch @ RM16.90
Is this the Sting Ray that killed Steve Irwin last year?
Debbie's not so delicious unfinish food and she took half of my portion.
Fish & Co Restaurant at Warisan Square, probably my 1st and last visit there

Some interesting findings again today....

My dig cam was out of battery and I had to buy some at Guardian Pharmacy, then I saw these cute Sugar Free mints in a tiny compact case cost at RM5.98. I bought Peach Mints, others are Blackcurrant and Fresh Mints and they are made in Germany. They look cute and I had to buy one...I like!

Still wandering alone in Warisan Square..Deb need to be back to her office, I went in to a small shop that sells body and hair accessories and I saw these photos of a Mermaid (Ikan Duyung..already dead konon) pasted on their counter..Oh my gosh..I was in shock..do they really exist kah?..Eeeew..scary.

In Memory of Nurin Jazlin

Nurin Jazlin
May her soul rest in peace

I have been following up with the gruesome murder case of Nurin Jazlin in the news everyday...it really saddened me and at the same time so angry with the murderer whom is still widely on the loose and might repeat his barbaric act on someone's child. He is a MONSTER and insanely sick person, and should be sent to the gallows once caught! I agreed that all child rapists and molesters should be given the death sentence and the Malaysian law system should enforce it NOW! As a mother myself, I can imagine the pain and grief that Nurin's mother is going through right now. I too feared for my daughter's safety.

This MONSTER might be eating roti canai in the Mamak's stall now or even flying by Air Asia now attempting to escape to other States..OMGuttttttt. Let's just wish he cannot sleep and has hellish nightmares everynight. If the cops can't find him anytime soon, may he kena sambar by lightnight and burn to hell! I just can't stand this kind of news...what is happening to this world...there's still some people out there acting like animal.

Let us now have a moment of silence (for a minute)......

This drawing is taken from Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir's blog. Advise to all parents out there...don't let your young children wandering to any places alone eventhough its only a few distance away from home and must always teach them not to speak to strangers. When my CJ is older, I will take her to martial arts classes..good for building confidence in herself and for self defence.

My CJ is finally walking

CJ is 1 year 4 months old now, she actually starts walking earlier but lack of confidence with her tiny steps. We made her practise her steps everyday..on the floor, on the sidewalk and even on the grass..barefooted sometimes. And now..yipee yay yo..she is finally walking with more confidence and just can't stop walking around the living room and she even can dance a little while watching Barney. I am just full of joy as mama. Many thanks to her Pinoy nanny, Jane. CJ even likes to disturb her daddy's laptop.

Mama's precious little girl!

Borneo International Trade Fair (BITF) on 6 - 9 September 2007

Talking about two weeks ago (sorry..entry from the past here), Florieta (friend, reporter and ex-colleague from New Sabah Times) and I went to visit the BITF on 7 September at the KK Sports Complex. It is quite a similar exhibition to that of Sabah International Expo (SIE), the bi-annual expo that we have been organising since year 2000 except their exhibitors are mostly from China because the event organizer is the Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Some of the booths has some pretty interesting stuffs but I was looking forward to buy the famous halal cornbeef from Mulaut Abattoir Sdn Bhd of Brunei Darussalam. The cornbeef..I tell you is so sedap but the price is also..er..like what Florieta say 'amazing' is RM11.00 per tin.
Met Lee, my ex-colleague from SIE, she's now working for POIC
Met my cousin Jorina at one of the booth.
Brunei Darussalam Booth
My favourite booth as always from the Sabah Tourism Board
A Kadazan beauty from Penampang

Got carried away in wandering through all the booths that Florieta and I forgot to have our lunch but lucky one of the booth is a Japanese food retailer and they sells Sushi. We both had sushi for lunch..good and tasty enough!

Back from....

Yes..hello, good morning and how are you? I am back from almost a week leave from work to be with and take care of my baby daughter CJ whom is sick from the flu and cough. No thanks to me..she got it from me...I kissed her too much and I thought her immune system has gotten stronger but I was wrong..stupid me. Anyways, she is getting better now...no more high fever (which worries me) except the coughing. So, I feel little relieve to go back to work now. Next time I will be more careful..whenever I'm starting to have a cold, I try not to jangkit my CJ again...but sometimes this flu cannot be prevented from menjangkiti orang yang disayangi bah (eventhough I cough or sneeze jauh-jauh). It look so obvious when you see the face of a healthy child and a sick child..so kesian.

This is CJ when she is so well, happy, little rascal and a rocker wannabe.

This is CJ when she is sick...quiet and no mood. Mommy love you so much CJ!

Welp, I didn't do any interesting stuff during the holidays except had a lot of rest..let me recall..I sleep when CJ sleep, kept monitoring my CJ's fever and thank goodness her fever is gone by Friday, do some cleaning around the house and oh yes, I did a handmade notebook...I've always wanted to do something crafty but just can't find the time..sometimes laziness rule my life..ok back to the notebook thing..I wanted to make two notebooks but again I lack of inspiration but I will try to finish the 2nd one today..in the office..er at lunch time only. But ssshhh..actually I am all alone in the office..so very free..my lady boss is outstation to KL until this Thursday but yet I still need to be productive today...lots of filling to do..need to clean and tidy up the office before she comes back.

What da ya think of this....

Tadaaa...one notebook done...this is the front cover..those butterflies cut-outs are from a gift wrapper
This is the back cover
2nd notebook to be created soon

It looks so so so simple but doing this thing is just to pass off time and test the creativity out of mua.

And yesterday, I watched the romantic comedy movie 'The Holiday' which casts Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black. This movie is so sweet and charming and a must see one. If you are a Jude Law fan..you'll definitely love his charming character there and makes you senyum-senyum sinis...reminds you how it feels to be in love. I shed some emotional tears as well..can't stop me.
The Charming Jude Law..though in real life..he is a doting and dedicated daddy but an unfaithful husband that he slept with his children's nanny..how sad and pathetic is that.

Cool Nature Getaway

Joined Debbie, Flory and Midi for a day trip to the coolest place in Sabah..of course up to the World Heritage Site, Kinabalu Park last Friday, 31 Aug...which is Malaysia's 50th Merdeka Day and holiday for all Malaysians. I have not been up there for awhile..so I thought I just have to get out of the so called 'mama's shell' (mmm?) and enjoy once in a while.

First stop is Pekan Nabalu..to have lunch and this is where I am looking forward to go to actually..to eat..haha cos Debbie told me about a Dusun chef whose cooking is something else and can be rated 1st class.

This is that Restaurant - Kedai Kopi & Makan Pekan Nabalu

Midi is the tukang order our food cos he's the one who recommends this eating place and the Chef himself is also the waiter. His name is Jusip (Dusun spelling for Joseph I suppose..and that reminds me of some kampung folks used to call me Duna..dusun pronounciation for Donna..kakaka).

For soup, we had this Sup Tom Yam...extraordinary and super delicious...not so spicy but just nice for me.

Midi serving our soup...so gentleman oh you kan Midi.

This is the famous dish that they were talking about...Chicken Tuhau...so sedap tau I tell you and addictive...for sure I would come back to this place again to order this.

Our third dish is a common one but yet very delicious ala Chinese cooking style - Mixed vege

Even this dog pun hungry...keeps brushing its feet in Debbie's skirt..minta makanan
Aiya..what happen this two pictures are senget..tried to fix but still senget..me blur.

Then comes the bill....

Full and satisfied...

The best part I like about Pekan Nabalu is the crafts...beautiful

We passed Kinabalu Park so our 2nd stop is Mesilau Nature Resort..way up to Kundasang. For those non-Sabahans, this resort is located at the foot and behind of Mt. Kinabalu. It is still very quiet up there..not many people goes there actually..but if you love nature and to have some peaceful moments, this is the place for you. The weather was foggy with a few drizzles and we could not see the mountain because its all covered with thick mist..but of course the air is so cool and refreshing...i really heart it.

Arrgh..where's my hands..didn't realize my hands are gone...funny photo.

Last stop is to Poring Hotspring..this place is so packed with people..lots of family with kids..not hairanlah..if you wanna go to Poring, try not to go during a public holiday. Just to cuci mata bolehlah...

With Mamut River on the background

Last group photo

On our way back..then we could see the majestic Mt. Kinabalu.

It was indeed a fun day!
