How smart is your right foot?

Hey, this is just to brighten up your day. Just read this stuff and give it a try.

This is from an orthopaedic surgeon that will or might boggle your mind and you will keep trying to do it over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't cos it's pre-programmed in your brain!

Try this:
1. While sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right
hand. Your foot will change direction.

I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it! You and I both
know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try
it again, if you've not already done so. Now, why don't you tell your buddies about it to frustrate them too.

Happy weekend y'all:P

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy birthday to my beloved daddy. He turns 59 today. I'm proud to say that he is my true hero. He always tries his best to make everyone in the family happy. That is my grandma carrying my dad (see pic) taken by my late grandpa somewhere in July 1950 while crossing the paddy field and at the same time carrying a traditional back pack (sorry I forgot what its called). My dad was about 7 months old at that time. Beautiful and very, very vintage photo. My late grandpa loves photography and we still keep his old antique camera. Anyways, I LOVE YOU DADDY and always will!

Eating & Chillin Out

I've been eating and chillin out with some friends alot prior to the CNY holidays last month. And so gaining weight and losing weight is totally uncontrollable at that time. But how could I possibly not love eating....maybe I can still love food but be strict on my diet (aiseman)...I love anything that has cheese and mayonaise on it...gosh...you've got to stop girl! Losing weight is in my to do/to be list this year...please don't laugh but pray for me and wish me luck..HA!

Anyways, I went out eating German food with my girlfriends at Gunter's Gasthaus...a cottage-like restaurant located along Jalan Tuaran. The food was just okay and lil pricey but still affordable (if my pocket belum berlubang lah or in other words pokai) They should have a better or interesting beverages menu though and makes the price worthy (and not like a cuppa of coffee @ RM6 - too much!)

Check out the cool stuffs you can see there and thanks to Emilia and Mimie for being my photo shoot model wannabes (you gals rock - stay DDG (drop dead gorgeous)!)

Two of the dishes we had - Black Forest Style Potatoe-Mushroom Casserole and Fish Fillet Au Poivre Noive:

And then in early January, my company organised a "Talk on Economic Outlook" at the Marina Club, Sutera Harbour Resort. I had a nice lunch at their cafe with a pretty view and the food was good but heavy....and our function went well with more than 70 attendees...good response and a great time to start the new year. I had a better and yummy version of Pineapple Fried Rice and my colleague had Nasi Goreng Makcik...nice food presentation.

I also had a farewell lunch for Emilia together with my boss, Stella and Mimie just recently at Promenade Hotel. No doubt their buffet lunch is a thumbs up....loving their dessert...look what I had (greedy huh....I know I'm killing myself)!

Okay...happy drooling:P

My sister's wedding

My younger sister Diane Chrissie is now married to Joseph, a policeman. I'm glad that she found a better match. They were childhood classmates before and they somehow bump into each other (after they grown up of course) at a Harvest Festival Celebration in KL there and the courting began.

The wedding was held on Christmas eve and surprisingly my parents also gave Deb and I two birthday cakes to blow each in front of all the guests because it was also our birthday that same day (FYI, we are fraternal twins)...I was blushing (with embarrasment) when they sang the birthday song. Anyways, I thought it was a fun and happy wedding. The ceremony was filled with music - my cousins played the violin and cello, my aunt played the piano and sang a duet with my dad and I sang Rob Kenolly's 'You Are' (the very same song that I sang during my own wedding) as my sister march down the aisle with my parents. Even one of my bestfriends, Melissa and her boyfriend Raz came all the way from KK to support. And there were some emotional moments as well.

It was harvesting season at that time of the year so our kampung home is once again surrounded by golden landscape and it's beautiful...perfect timing.

Some photos of my brother Disney and I took of the couple. CONGRATS lil sis and welcome to the club. May you and Joseph live happily ever after!

Wendell was the wedding's official photographer. His photos are great too...check out his blog.

Me doing the poco-poco dance with Carmen and nephew Delbert (only clad in his pampers...reminds me of 'the emperor's new clothes' he's just so cute and funny)...while Sabah's famous Bamboo Orchestral Band entertained the guests.

Photos taken at the 2nd Wedding Reception at the Groom's side on 28 December 2008 at Kampung Nahaba, Kota Belud. It was held in a Dusun Tindal traditional wedding ceremony way...and I'm proud to be part of that beautiful culture.

This is the Dusun Tindal's traditional game called 'Sepak Manggis'normally played during weddings

Colourful traditional patchwork normally used for wedding decor...something ala-ala Bajau...loving it!

Love songs.....

I'm currently listening to some of my favourite love songs and music right now...sometimes over and over again, so I just have to post about it to remind me-self how music could do to my life - to inspire, to calm my soul, to shoo away the stress & boredom, be fun crazy and so much more. Here's a few to share.....

Terima Kasih Cinta from Afghan, an 18 year old rising Indon artiste. Thanks to my husby for buying me his CD for my bday/x'mas treat (love all his songs and this particular song is in my celly's ring tone ha!)

Carter Burwell's Bella's Lullaby. Since I'm a fan of Twilight (am surprise myself), I just love this piece...it's super easy/simple to play on the piano and I finally got the movie soundtrack too - alternative rock, grunge, underground music kind of stuffs but cool...memang ngam for lagu-lagu vampire lah (scary)

And last but not least.....

At Last (previously sang & popularised by Etta James) sang by Beyonce for the movie Cadillac Record. I'm learning to sing this song with a jazzy feel (wish me luck)

At last
my love has come along
my lonely days over
and life is like a song

Ooh, yeah, yeah
At last
the skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clover
the night I looked at you

I found a dream
that I could speak to
A dream that I
can call my own
I found a thrill
to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
Ohh, yeah, yeah

You smile
you smile
Ooh and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
for you are mine at last

This is especially for you....enjoy!
