Will be back soon......

I've been super duper busy for the last two weeks and can't even spare some time to update my journal. It was over and a good job well done for me in organizing one of my company's major events our 'Annual Luncheon' that was held last 12 Aug at Pacific Sutera Hotel's Grand Ballroom (will blog about it later) and then next in just less than 2 months away will be the Sabah International Business Conference 2008 (SIBC2008) which will coincide with the Sabah International Expo 2008 (SIE2008) on 15 - 19 Oct 2008 at 1 Borneo...looking forward to the busy-ness and stress that I used to experience but still able to cope up...normal...but I know I might neglect this journal for awhile during those crucial preparations for the SIE2008.

Anyways...new updates soon and have a great weekend!

The Mummy Part 3 - Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

I'm probably one of the luckiest person on earth to have a workplace and the cinema located in the same building...it just feels great whenever I feel like de-stressing myself...I'll just go watch a movie.

After one of my company's major event was over like few days ago...I finally went to watch my favourite movie....The Mummy Part 3 cos it starred my favourite Asian actors - Jet Li and Datuk Michelle Yeoh. The story line this time was not as interesting as the 1st and 2nd part...because my fav actress Rachel Weisz did not reprise her role as Evelyn O'Connell this time and was replaced by Maria Bello. But I still adores Brendan Fraser...he's a real hunk. Check out the trailer below and google up the synopsis.

MICCI Sabah Branch Annual Luncheon (12 Aug 2008)

This is one of my company's major event this year - our Annual Luncheon held on 12 Aug 2008 at the Pacific Sutera Hotel's Grand Ballroom. The Guest of Honour supposed to be the YAB Chief Minister of Sabah like the previous years but at the 11th hour he designated the Minister of Tourism to represent him instead...which gives us a lil chaos on the VIP's seating plan but still manageable. Well that's what happens "as expected"...especially if the State Election is long over (you know what I mean). Anyways, the luncheon was okay...on the food, the programme was well organized and I'm glad at the end of the day I had a pretty good working relationship with the hotel events manager and banquet staffs.

Now about the food....

The 1st course - Prawn & Mango Salad with Lemongrass dressing

The Main Course - Roasted Herbs Marinated Chicken & Cod Fish with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Bell Pepper Sauce. It tasted better than during the food tasting.

Of course my favourite part...the Desert - Fresh Fruit Salad with Vanilla Ice-Cream. They served lemon sorbet instead of Vanilla ice-cream...totally out for me..a yucky! The pastry chef must be dreaming.

Family Garage Sale

I helped Debbie organised a garage sale last 10 Aug and then we decided to have another one the following Sunday, 17 Aug. It was fun selling stuffs...mostly used/2nd hand stuffs like shoes, clothes, books and even jewelries. Some of my stuffs that I put on sale that day are new like mini purses (e.g. Barbie purses), hair accessories, bracelets and even Rungus beaded necklaces...and it was quite 'laku' among the little kids and teens alike.

Front of our house where we held the garage sale

Soft toys we had when we were kids

My fav stuffs - jewelleries

Deb and I love music but we are selling away some of our music pieces

Our lovely customers (mostly relatives and neighbours)

Pilih-pilih...jangan malu-malu...barang murah..belilah

To support Deb's project...I purchase something for myself too...RM15 for all these stuffs.

Doing garage sale is SO MUCH fun and I could say the project was a success. I would like to thanked Lola, Lona, Flora (Oko) and your family for your kind support.
