Just another love story....

This was like two weeks ago that I finished watching all 10 episodes of 'Till Death Do Us Part', a romantic comedy tele-series from the Philippines and starred by my favourite Pinoy couple Diether Ocampo and Kristine Hermosa. If you believe love at first sight...you should watch this drama. But I was kinda surprise that I didn't even shed a tear (well..maybe just a little) till the end...and this proves that this drama series did not touch the top of my emotional state and which means that I don't quite like the story. I read reviews that it was a major flop in the Philippines...what a pity and I understand why.

It's okay but the thing is I still heart both of them...Diether is a real hunk and Kristine is a beauty icon and all I could say about this love team is they are DDG (Drop Dead Gorgeous)...totally!

Anyways, wanna know what's this drama all about, read the synopsis and check out one of the trailer below.

To all those unmarried couple - you should try getting married the Pinoy way...no veil (for the bride) with great music and beautiful settings. They are really creative people!

How I wish

Last weekend was another well spent weekend with my family...up to the mountain side (again). Debbie brought me, Carmen and my grandma to a complimentary one-night stay at the only VIP lodge at Kinabalu National Park called the Rajah Lodge...which would be her upcoming engagement venue....pretty much confirm I guess, at a date which is still kept as a secret for now (sorry ya..told to keep my mouth shut). I think Deb just wanna do the 'adat bertunang' thing a little bit different...in terms of venue wise...I think she chose one of the best place.

During our stay there, I felt like a celebrity proudly showing off her crib on MTV...haha..AS IF...I'm just playing pretend...such a wannabe but how I wish...perhaps I can live luxurious like this someday lah...just a dream away. I think the most excited person is Carmen..and as usual, she just can't stop running here and there, up and down and especially around the fireplace (kici tapi cergas butul)...and thank God I brought Fika (my Indon maid) to watch over her and chase after her...I lose patience quite easily.

Some photos here about the cool place....and Here Deb posted about it too.

Carmen slept like a log after too much playing. But we enjoyed our stay thoroughly....looking forward to our 2nd stay there very soon.

My little Picasso

Took a one-day leave yesterday and spend some quality time with my little girl. We did finger painting which was truly fun. I noticed that she really loves playing with colours. You know simple art & craft activities like finger painting will nurture creativity while developing your child's motor skills. And I want my Carmen to be exposed as much as possible with arts and music. I was SO amazed to see that she at age only 2 years old really has the talent to paint...big talent actually and she loves every moment of it!

Here's some of her masterpieces which I consider abstract paintings (but of course with just a lil bit of help from her mama....to give each painting a title)

Title: Dream and Play by Carmen Jewel (10 July 2008)

Title: Hearts and Roses by Carmen Jewel (10 July 2008)

Title: Rainy Days by Carmen Jewel (10 July 2008 - because it rain heavily on this day)

We did another painting session on 13 July 2008, Sunday and here are two of my favourite finger paintings done by Carmen Jewel but of course again...with a lil guidance from me.

Title: Happy Thoughts by Carmen Jewel

Title: Flowers & Butterflies by Carmen Jewel

That's my little Picasso. One quote I like..."Creating colours is like making music; you create from an inspiration" I guess Carmen is inspired with painting after watching too much Barbie's Rapunzel "The artist in me".

Two videos I would like to share...about two young artists whom inspired me so much in being creative.

Fairy wings

Thank you so much aunty Devianna for your lovely gift...fairy wings for me...now I can be a butterfly fairy like Mariposa!

Love ya,
Carmen Jewel

Go Nadal!

Watched the two greatest tennis male players and my fav sportsmen Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the 2008 Wimbledon Championships final last night. I barely finished watching it cos the match lasted like 4-hour & 48 minutes which was said to be the longest men's final in Wimbledon history and quite possibly the greatest. I knew Nadal would pull it through and truly he did....and that's him (photo above) celebrates with victory after beating the no. 1-ranked Federer (6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 6-7, 9-7) Yeah...go Nadal! Aint he cute or what....i drools looking at his muscles....akaka...naughty mama!

Fun Wednesday

What a beautiful morning today...woke up to feel the cool breeze and saw a clear view of Mt. Kinabalu in front of my house...so refreshing and glad I have this kind of moment...like everyday!

And then on the way to work...another beautiful sight....there was a semi-circle rainbow in the sky. My sis and I tried to guess where does it ends to cos there might be a pot of gold there...haha..just kidding lah babe. Did manage to take a few shots of it....I just love this kind of morning.

Met up (for the 1st time) the lovely and sweet Devyne (Simply Dee) at the office today....Emilia and I enjoyed our fun chit-chats with her and of course picture taking after that...

Since it's movie day, Emilia and I escaped before our lunch hour to watch "Wanted". One of my favourite movie this year...the storyline was cool but very predictable. E thought it was boring and some of those 'action' scenes are 'terlampau over'...which I quite agreed. But I just love Angelina Jolie in action and James McAvoy is pretty cute eh? (remember him as Mr Tumnus in Chronicles of Narnia's 1st part?)

Check out the synopsis & trailer here: Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is a neurotic accounts manager who works in a small cubical filling out billing reports day in and day out. He allows his boss, his girlfriend, and his best friend to walk all over him. To cope with his life, he takes anti-anxiety pills by the bottle full. Wesley has no desire to change his humdrum life, but one day while getting more pills at the drug store, he meets a beautiful woman, Fox (Angelina Jolie), who changes his life forever. Fox was sent to protect Wesley from the man who had just killed his father. Fox tells Wesley that his father died yesterday on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Building and that he will be next. Wesley is recruited into the "Fraternity," a secret society of assassins that his father was a member. Fox must train Wesley to bring out his special powers that he was born with in order to avenge his fathers death. The Fraternity's leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman), also teaches Wesley the ways of the group, and Wesley soon becomes an assassin just like his father.

Yeah...today was fun!
