CJ's 1st pedi and manicure

I know I'm one crazy mama who put on blue & green nail polish on her child's lil fingers & toes and thinks that she's her cute but naughty-sweet lil devil.

Carmen got her 1st pedi and manicure works on her fingers and toes a weekend ago at an unusual time for a toddler, which is past midnight. (I know its crazy). She woke up in the middle of the night, can't go back to sleep and kept disturbing me (like pulling my eyelashes & pinching my nose & mouth - gosh just had to layan her then). So I did this on her...I was sleepy so it's abit messy. But guess what...she loves her blue nail polish just like her idol the cartoon character 'Coraline'.

And I did mentioned in my earlier post that I bought Carmen a cute Adidas shoes from the pasal malam...here's a pic of it..pinky cute isn't it and it only cost me RM20 after pleading for a cheaper bargain. It looks comfy on her feet.

And again I'm quite a sweet bully to my lil girl...I bought her a lil devil hairclips (I bought her a lil devil hairband last X'mas) and she likes it..she keeps looking in the mirror with her devilish facial expression.

Anyways, CJ is always the love of my life...she's my cute, smart, sweet & pretty baby girl! She's very, very camera shy and she seldom smiles but this time she smiles at the camera with a lil make-up on.

Tomorrow will be her 'child dedication' service in church, so I'm gonna clean away that nail polish (hehe).

Have an enjoyable long weekend/'Hari Raya Puasa' holidays.

XOXOXO from Mama Rock!

Cute Homes

This is a long overdue post but I still wish to share and put this up on this online journal. Anyways, My family and I had a getaway trip to the mountain side (Kundasang area) during one of the August weekends. The weather was pretty cloudy and there was a lil downpour. So we could'nt even view Mt. Kinabalu and the trip was just okay. But what's interesting was we visited a mini resort called the Kiram's Village where they have cute chalets for rent. I told my husby, if we were to build our own family vacation house someday...I want a cottage-like home like one of those chalets/cabins. So cute! Here are some photos of those cute homes...

Before we reached Kundasang, we stopped to have lunch at the Bamboo Restaurant to have one of our fav family dish - the chicken tuhau mayonaise. The food was not as good as before (dah merosot)...and they should hire a better chef. No wonder, less people are going there to eat.

Will plan another family outing sometime in the future and this time we'll spend the night at Kiram's Village.

Thankful!

O wonderful Maker
Of heaven and earth!
Giver of life and breath!

You've given us meaning,
Value and worth
And completely conquered death!

O passionate Lover
Of our dear souls
Creator of song and dance,

You've awakened us
Out of death's black hole
With Your passionate romance!

O what could be said,
What could be written,
To one, LORD, such as You?

What words could be uttered
From a heart so smitten?
They could only be few!

Like the gentle falling
Of flakes of snow
Dancing while descending

Your beauty falls
Upon me so
With Your goodness never-ending!

Bought this lovely card from Doulos (the floating bookstore). Plan to go there and buy more of this cards this weekend. This time I'll bring CJ and it will be her 1st and last time to go onboard the MV Doulos. Heard that this could be the last time Doulos to come to Sabah and it will be leaving on 20 Sept.

By the way, I'm just THANKFUL with my life right now!

Feels like Sunday

It feels like Sunday today. It's Malaysia Day and it's a public holiday. Since its Tamu (open market/bazaar) day in Tamparuli town every Wednesday, so me & family had the chance (which is rare) to go out / 'jalan-jalan' to the tamu this morning (didnt bring my camera so no pictures, sorry). I'm glad CJ enjoyed her time in the tamu today especially holding the little yellow chicks, which was for sell. I thought of buying a baby turtle but didn't see anyone selling. But I plan to get two for pets sometime soon.

Anyways, I heard this cool version of L-O-V-E by Joss Stone on the radio this morning..love it. I always love this song but this version is really some lovin to my soul and made my day today.

And here's a soulful duet by Joss Stone and Natalie Cole singing LOVE - I so like!

L-O-V-E
L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore can

Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please dont break it
Love was made for me and you

L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore can

Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please dont break it
Love was made for me and you
Love was made for me and you
Love was made for me and you

Went jogging with my CJ in the evening...with her new little & cute Adidas shoes...believe it or not I bought it from KK's pasar malam (night market) a few nights ago. Lucky it didn't print 'Adidos' on it (ha!)

09/09/09

Why 09/09/09 is so special? This article was on Yahoo! today. I didn't realize today's date looks pretty...in fact it's pretty a special day cos it's my younger brother, Danny's 22nd birthday. Yesterday was my younger sister, Diane Chrissie's 27th birthday. Has wished them both. So we the older siblings already bodek both of them to belanja us a Chocolate Indulgence Cake from Secret Recipe - Yummy! (kekeke).

Anyways, looking forward to a special reunion with my childhood friends and singing group 'Bestfriends' (a singing group we formed in our teens & during high school). We are invited to sing one of our hit songs (aisehman) at our school's homecoming event this weekend. Awesome...will post some picture of us soon (then & now).

By the way, I finally done a make-over on meself...no not on my face but my hair. I tried the 'Meg Ryan's ringlet' - finally. The look is not as what I expected it to be (keriting maggie pulak jadinya) but at least I got rid of my old & boring hairstyle.

There's this 'NEW ME' from now on (aiseh).

Another tough decision

My previous employer insisted of not letting me go, so they offered me a promotion with a better pay. So this week I’ve to come up with a decision that may hurt either one party which is tough. But at the end of the day, it’s one choice I have to take – a better plan for my life and future. I actually missed my previous job cos I enjoy establishing contacts with people and getting more exposure in the business industries. And I felt like I’m turning into a hermit if I stay longer in this new company – so dead boring and less challenging. I realized that being there, I can’t expand my knowledge well enough – just simply can’t grow. I think you know clearly what my decision’s gonna be. Being in a corporate world for more than 10 years makes me a very competitive person and loving any challenges there is.

I recently bought an inspirational/self-motivation book from MV Doulos called ‘Live Like You Were Dying’ by Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman, and which is based on Tim McGraw’s (the Grammy award winning country singer and husband of Faith Hill) song with the same title.

One of those words from the book inspired me to make the right decision. And it goes like:

“What’s the secret to success?” I asked. “Two words”, he said. “Right decisions.” “How do you make right decisions?” “One word,” he said. “Experience.” “And how do you get experience?” “Two words,” he answered. “Wrong decisions.”

So now I think I'll be going down that same career path again but with a whole new perspective.
