Banging & Spining around

These two songs from the Jacksons 5 kept banging and spining around in my head at all times...I even sing or hum to its tunes whenever I'm in the shower. Just can't get enough of the Jacksons 5 songs...I just love them and Motown music! But these 2 songs are my ultimate favorites.

More of Twilight Saga

One of this pretty movie poster is a fan-made and the other is official but just a teaser poster, but I heart both of them. Twilight's sequel - 'New Moon' will be released on 20 Nov and would'nt wanna miss it. I'm sure all Twilight fans out there can't wait as well.

For a glimpse of 'New Moon', check out the trailer here:

By the looks of it, the sequel is more syok than part 1 (Twilight). Reprising her role as Bella again - hope that Kristen Stewart has improved her acting skills. (Dui...pandai-pandai but ya seriously her acting sucks).

But before hand, you can start reading the 'New Moon' novel - I like this cover than the official one.

If you're a fan of Twilight and have read the 1st part of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight novels, you'll come across some of the following lovely and popular quotes from the book which I liked.

Bella's quotes:

"It was hard to believe that someone so beautiful could be real. I was afraid that he might disappear in a sudden puff of smoke, and I would wake up".

"His voice was like melting honey. I could imagine how much more overwhelming his eyes would be".

"About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him — and I didn’t know how potent that part might be — that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him".

Edward's quotes:

"It’s twilight. It’s the safest time of day for us. The easiest time. But also the saddest, in a way…the end of another day, the return of the night. Darkness is so predictable, don’t you think?"

"Twilight, again. Another ending. No matter how perfect the day is, it always has to end".

Don't you think Taylor Lautner is now becoming such a cutie hunk? Glad that he has more of his 'Jacob' role appearances in the upcoming 'New Moon'. Just can't wait to watch how this love triangle goes - Bella between Edward and Jacob. Aaawoooooffff...wolf vs vampire - how exciting!

Mattel even produce the Barbie & Ken version of Bella & Edward - now isn't that cool too! And 'New Moon' Candies too - how sweet!

More on Robert Pattinson, here are some interesting facts about this guy. My idiotic crush on him has somehow cooled off but I'm still a fan.

1) The British actor reportedly never showers and his body odor is infuriating cast and crew on the set of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon." A source close to the star – who returns as vampire Edward Cullen in the film - said: "He stinks. I mean, it's awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy. He completely reeks." Robert's lack of personal hygiene could be one of the reasons behind his unsuccessful sex life in the US.

2) He proposed to ''Twilight'' co-star Kristen Stewart. The 18-year-old actress – who is dating "Will and Grace" star Michael Angarano – said Pattinson was so "into" his character while filming the vampire movie he convinced himself he was in love with her. She said: "Rob is very mysterious and very intense – and totally crazy. He proposed to me one day!" Pattinson added: "I can't believe I did that! That's really getting into character. It's pretty extreme." Stewart said: "I'm sure he's proposed to loads of girls before. He's a complete jokester!" Pattinson agrees: "My favorite chat-up line when I was younger was to go straight up to a girl and say, 'Will you marry me? I don't want to mess around.'"

3) He has also revealed he Googles himself to find out what gossip there is about him on the internet. He said: "I admit I do look for myself sometimes. I used to do it a lot more before." Now I only look at the negative stuff. I just want to know whoever's saying negative stuff, I want to remember their names. I write it all down in my black book.

Let me know if you want MORE details!

Robert Pattinson vs Edward Cullen (Twilight)

No it's not about Lady Gaga but I'm still going gaga on 'Twilight' & (scream first...AAARRRHHHH) Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson. Oh how I wished 'Edward Cullen' is a REAL charming & harmless vampire. OMG! what is happening to me...why am I going nuts about all these stuffs. Hey woman...I think you're trapped in a teen girl's body.

Anyways, the thing is I noticed from my traffic feed that lots of people out there (probably mostly young girls or fans of RP I guess) googled about either RP or Twilight Saga and I think they must have accidentally stumbled upon my lame blog over my post on "Screaming Over Robert Pattinson & Twilight Saga". No doubt that these two related subjects has a huge fan based around the world and are one of the most searched items in the net.

Since I'm also a fan which I'm not embarrased to admit (ha!) and once again I'm pretty delighted to post here MORE about Robert Pattinson and his Twilight character - the sexy & charming vamp 'Edward Cullen' & exclusively just for you - info and pictures on the 'Cullens' home.

I bought a cool book/autobiography of RP - loads of pictures in it, about his childhood and of course on 'Twilight' and how the movie changed his life...from humble beginnings as an actor to the coolest/most popular heartrob in the planet. I just adores celebrities who started their fame from humble beginnings or rags to riches sort of thing and still remained humble and down-to-earth.

Now let's see who is cooler/gorgeously handsome/charmingly sexy and let's do the Robert Pattinson VS Edward Cullen. Honestly speaking I prefers the Edward look - mysterious but still DDG (drop dead gorgeous).

Edward Cullen's Profile (Twilight's main character):
Name: Edward Anthony Masen (human name)
Species: Vampire
Age: 17 (biological)/104 (Twilight novel, chronological)/108 (Twilight movie, chronological)
Date of birth: June 20, 1901
Date of death: 1918 (as a human)

EC in pictures:

If you're not a fan of Twilight, hopefully you can still appreciate the beauty of the house used on the set of Twilight as the "Cullens House". And now let's take a tour through these pictures of the Cullens home:

(Remember these stairs when Edward took Bella to his room)

Edward and Bella in Edward's room from one of the movie scene

Don't you think this house is beautiful? Extremely enchanted and awesome house...fit for a vampire! This is an actual home in Portland, Oregon and the residence of the Hoke family. The home was designed by Skylab Architecture and architect Jeff Koval.

I also bought the original movie CD to add to my movie collection

Truly a die-hard Twilight fan? Then join me into this craziness together.

Personal Tribute to Yasmin Ahmad (1958 - 2009)

Just a month after MJ's passing, there's another shocking news of the sudden demise of Malaysia's renowned filmaker - Yasmin Ahmad. She died of stroke and she's only 51. 20 years ago, my dad's father/my grandfather died of stroke and I know how it feels to lose a loved one in just a sudden and so unexpected. For more details prior to her death, read here. Although I've only watched two of her award-winning films 'Sepet' and 'Gubra' but I've always admires her creativity and talents and that I often follows and read her blog for inspiration. She will always be a legend in all Malaysian hearts because of her superb works and there will be no one as great as her. Rest in peace Yasmin Ahmad!

Short and Sweet

Just a quick hello while I'm still buzzing around in the office. Been tightly busy and need to do some catching up with few urgent matters - proper handover, looking forward to my new job, organising 3 to 4 company events this month, CJ being a fussypot nowadays and yada yada etc. I really need another break...I just did once last monday/took emergency leave but end up doing painting with my CJ (wanna see?).

Anyways, I'll be back here soon for more updates but for now I wish I could live in this picture - quiet (or maybe not) and cosy.

And also enjoy this unique & oh-so cute picture taken from my fav illustrator/artist, Holly Becker's blog - decor8.

Goodbye to MJ

It was silly of me yesterday afternoon - for being confused of the time for the actual live coverage of MJ's Memorial Service both at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood and at the LA Staples Center. Mostly live interviews and remembering his extravagant life was aired online yesterday afternoon. But I did stayed up very late from 1am - 3am this morning to watch the ceremony live on E! It was pretty touching and I was in tears as well.

Michael Jackson's brothers carried the singer's gold-trimmed casket into the Staples Center sports arena in downtown Los Angeles for the memorial, the same place where Jackson rehearsed the day before his death for a highly-anticipated comeback tour.

The Memorial Service ended with MJ's daughter, Paris Jackson giving a very short speech "Ever since I was born, daddy was the best father you could have imagine" & crying "I love him so much" - just emotionally beautiful to watch.

Read more - here.

Right now I'm lack of sleep but that's ok - since our office pantry is out of coffee, sipping tea is good enough.

Gone To Soon
Music by Larry Grossman
Lyrics by Buz Kohan ("Buzzie Wuzzie")

Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon

Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon

Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night

Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon

Like a castle
Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon

Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon

Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night

Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon
Gone too soon

This could be sort of my last tribute to MJ in here. Good bye Michael - we'll meet someday in Heaven!

Rest In Peace MJ!

MJ's Memorial Service was held today at the Los Angeles Staples Center at about 12 noon LA time & at about 1am M'sian time. But Shucks! Trying to watch it live online but the net was damned slow this afternoon - just to watch some live interviews and to remember how great MJ was. I guess millions of MJ fans are also watching the ceremony live online as well. I can't even view it through CNN & FB. Anyways, I'll watch it on E! tonight.

Macam-macam terjadilah (strange happenings) after MJ's death...such as this story which gave everyone goosebumps. Extracted out the article from the net and it's even on U-Tube already - see/read of 'MJ's Ghost' below.

"Michael Jackson loved publicity while he was alive, maybe the same is true now he’s dead.
The video shows a sequence filmed during CNN’s Inside Neverland program. The show took a look at the life of Michael Jackson, and included an interview with his brother Jermaine, as well as a tour around Neverland itself.
When the camera takes a look down one of the long corridors in Jacko’s private quarters, there’s a shot of what looks like a ghostly figure walking across it. Could it be Michael Jackson, come back as a ghost to tell us he’s OK?
Probably not. I do believe ghosts exist but it seems more likely this is just a trick of the light caught on camera. The apparition is probably nothing more than a member of the crew shooting the piece casting a shadow as they move.
However, I suppose it cannot be ruled out completely that this is Michael Jackson’s ghost. Stranger things have happened, such as prisoners dancing a Jacko tribute and the Queen of England’s guards playing a version of Thriller outside Buckingham Palace."

Michael, you are not alone now, you are in Heaven with God and Jesus while being surrounded with beautiful happy angels. Probably you'll meet Elvis Presley up there too.

"You Are Not Alone" Written and composed by R Kelly.
Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold
Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

All alone,
'Why, oh

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away

Something whispers in my ear and says
That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there
I'll be there

You are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay

For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone.

Just love this video - it keeps playing on my mind till now!

Now rest in peace Michael!

No one understand him so well...

I was in tears when I watched this video - 'Have You Seen My Childhood', wrote, composed, produced and sang by Michael Jackson (from my personal MJ Music & Video Collections) and I thought of sharing how I love this song and the lyrics is just so touching & beautiful! I can feel the pain that MJ went through during his childhood. It seems like no one can and try to understand him that well. This month, you'll see me giving/sharing lots of personal tributes to the King of Pop through his amazing music and videos - so I hope you can bear with me or simply don't care.

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for the world that I come from
'Cause I've been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart...
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities...
'Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me...

People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates and adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?
People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things,
It's been my fate to compensate,
For the Childhood I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
The dreams I would dare, watch me fly...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I've had

Have you seen my Childhood....

In his last interview he said if his fans had any questions about him, they just need to watch and listen to this song. People/fans has overlooked Michael Jackson's dark side - interesting read here.

Although he's gone now but he will always be in the HEARTS of all his fans and the people who loved him! I'm now looking forward to watch MJ's memorial ceremony this Tuesday - which will be aired live by NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC & E! Entertainment, set for 10am, (PDT 1700 GMT)at the Los Angeles Staples Center. For M'sian time, I think it will be in the evening. I'll be watching it on E!

Wash your hands! (H1N1/Swine Flu song)

Listen to this song if you don't want to get or to prevent thyself from getting the H1N1/Swine Flu. Sounds a lil disgusting but hilariously funny as well.

My simple advise: If you have digged your poo poo, don’t take ice from my milo and don’t touch the piano!

H1N1 sucks and kills...don't play-play!

ULOS

My dad brought a few ULOS when he came home recently in June. His job in Penang made him do lots of dealing with the Indonesians who comes to Penang for health treatment (heart surgeries mostly) or frequent visits to Indonesia like Medan or Jakarta for marketing & promotion - that's where he got all the Ulos as gifts/souvenirs.

A few definitions of the Ulos:

- Ulos is the Batak word for cloth, while ragi hotang denotes the type. Batak textiles tend to be rather dark and sombre with simple geometric forms. Textiles are important in Batak gift giving, in which a hierarchical structure determines which of the 25 or so textiles produced by the Batak is appropriate to the occasion and to the age and social status of the recipient. The ragi hotang is the highest ranked textile to be given to a bride and groom.
Source: Powerhouse Museum Collection

- Ulos is a rectangular piece of traditional woven cloth, holds significant traditional values that is respected and used in various sacred ceremonies.
It siymbolizes a great many thing, physically and spiritually, therefore carries great importance and meaning to be the people of Batak. Not only is it worn, it is also used in many religious initiations such as birth, marriage, death and many other rites.
Source: Kriya Ulos

- Ceremonial Textile (Ulos Ragidup) - The most sacred textiles of the Batak people of northern Sumatra are the ragidup, whose name literally means "pattern of life." Both during and beyond an individual's life, ragidup play central roles. Perhaps the most critical occurs when a woman is pregnant with her first child. At this time, her parents typically present her with a ragidup, which becomes, as her ulos ni tondi or "soul cloth," a supernaturally powerful object that will protect her and her family throughout life. During the rites, a specialist is called upon to "read" the cloth, whose complex patterns are believed to foretell the woman's future. A ragidup is also an essential element in Batak marriage rites, where it is wrapped around the mother of the groom by the father of the bride as a ceremonial gift. In death, the ragidup enshrouds the deceased and, years later, is used to wrap his or her bones when they are disinterred for ritual reburial.

In fact during my wedding back in 2003, an Indonesian family lady friend from Medan, gave me a pretty and expensive Ulos (see photo below) claimed to be her heirloom that cost RM10,000 (I'm not sure if I heard her correctly or she meant 10,000 Rupiah??)

Here are my Ulos collections (given by my dad to keep/use). Pretty for table runners/cloth, piano cover or wall deco. I just love the colours and artistic designs - all handmade (no wonder its pretty costly too).

Easy Listening with Aiza Seguerra

Another beautiful vocal that I fancy - the voice of Aiza Seguerra, a Philipino singer/actress and guitarist. I came across her latest album 'True Love' at the record store and fell in love with her voice and most of her ballads - I LIKE!

From her 'True Love' album, this is my fav ballad 'How Did You Know'. I can't find any official music video clips of Aiza but this can do for now. Enjoy the video and lyrics here:

Check out another video of Aiza singing the same song while playing the guitar here - beautiful!

Once again...Happy Weekend!

My Personal Tribute to MJ

The song 'You Are My Life' is one of my fav MJ song ballad and I wanted to play it during my wedding reception in 2003 but not jadi. It's such a romantic song but I cried watching this fan-made video of MJ with this song - it's just too sad.

You Are My Life (from MJ's Invincible album)

Once all alone
I was lost in a world of strangers
No one to trust
On my own, I was lonely
You suddenly appeared
It was cloudy before but now it’s clear
You took away the fear
You brought me back to life

[CHORUS]
You are the sun
You make me shine
Or more like the stars
That twinkle at night
You are the moon
That glows in my heart
You’re my daytime my nighttime
My world
You’re my life

Now I wake up everyday
With this smile upon my face
No more tears, no more pain
‘Cause you love me
You help me understand
That love is the answer to all that I am
And I’m a better man
You taught me by sharing your love

[CHORUS]

You gave me strength
When I wasn’t strong
You gave me hope when all hope is lost
You opened my eyes when I couldn’t see
Love was always here waiting for me

I penned a simple poem for MJ last night and maybe might turn it into a short song with no chorus (ha!). I tried a little bit of the melody on the piano this morning....It will be lovely and soft. I'm not that good so don't laugh ya but feel free to comment. Here goes...

A Poem/Song for Michael Jackson

Like an angel
Such a gentle and loving soul
Like a light
Shining through a hole
Giving hope to all the world
You bring happiness and love within

Just 50 and you're gone too soon
So unforgetable and irreplaceable
You've done so many so much
with love and full grace spirit
Just can't believe
You are here no longer

But remember...
You are not alone
The good Lord is with you
Now beside you in a place called
Heaven...
I see your smile now
May your soul rest in peace.

By Mama Rock/Donna, 2 July 2009.

Tadaa...that's all. Now I have all his songs and music videos as one of my precious collection.

If I ever meet him in person before - I think he's truly charming. I love that smile. Now I wanna learn how to do the Moonwalk. MJ legacy will live on forever! I LOVE YOU MICHAEL - 1958-2009 R.I.P!

Now I will have a good weekend - so happy weekend everyone!

In a dilemma

Just a quick one....(maybe)

1) My mood is still in its gloomy state. I simply can't write anything here...for now BUT I've to force myself. I know I'm acting silly but just like any MJ's fan, I'm still in deep mourning for him since his death...I still can't get over it. I listens to his music everyday now - especially the Jackson 5. I'm gonna do MY OWN personal tribute to him very soon.

2) This July will be a super duper busy month for me...just can't finish my office to-do list and un-routine workloads...among others are:

- Just done with coordinating a financial clinic with Maybank at the Le Meridien KK today;

- Part of the organising committee & starting to get busy for the Inter-Chamber Golf Tournament - Chief Minister's Challenge Trophy to be held at the end of this month at Nexus Karambunai Resort;

- Preparing for our company's Branch Annual Luncheon to be held in early August at STAR, all invitation to VVIP's are out, RSVP's to do in the next 2 weeks, calling member companies to take tables/seats for the luncheon, food tasting, hope the Chief Minister (our Guest of Honour) do turn up and not tell us at the last minute he can't make it or else it will be total chaos and etc;

3) I've made my decision (finally..after much thinking) to leave my current job after nearly 9 years due to a better offer with better pay for a managerial position near my hometown (which is great - nearer to my family) - with a heavy heart of course but this is a good opportunity to make some difference/changes and improvement in my life. However, my boss won't accept me leaving and willing to keep this job for me, just in case I'm unhappy with the new one and at the same time will negotiate with HQ to raise the pay I WANTED from before (how sweet! but we'll see how things goes). This year will have me do lots of transitions in life - for the better;

4) I finally got a new car of my own - a light blue coloured Proton Saga (the new Saga version) that I might need to drive to my new workplace very soon;

5) I desperately need a new hairdo - we'll see this weekend.

More from me later ya....
